Happy Thankirtheddmas!

What, you haven't heard of that? Well that was what we celebrated with my family in early December when we were all together for the only time between Thanksgiving, my sister's birthday, her good friend's wedding and Christmas. So a belated Happy Thankirtheddmas to you.

Before their arrival, Ben asked for hot chocolate one day and then pulled the bench up to the door so he could drink it and look outside...what we did last year during that blizzard. No snow to see today, but he and Santa Bear looked mighty festive.

After spending the night in Nashville, we returned to Chattanooga with Aunt Jess!

The kids had a blast at the nearly-empty aquarium.

petting stingrays,

throwing rocks in the butterfly atrium...oops,

looking at fish, of course,

and penguins,

singing the fishy-fishy song,

making fish faces

and pretending to live underwater.

The next day we had the Radnoti's over so they could get some QT with Jess and Michael.

And the kids could too!

After wedding fun, we hit all the touristy goodness Chattanooga has to offer!

Ruby Falls

Did a little caroling around the tree too!

Our friends threw an amazing Sweets and Santa party, so we stopped in there for a little (or a lot) of both.

Then with two hopped-up kiddos in tow, we hit The Enchanted Lights of Rock City!

Mom and Dad had been staying at the Choo-Choo, so after a much-needed night's sleep, we enjoyed brunch there and did a little exploring.

While Dad took Ben to the model train exhibit, the rest of us entertained Katie Beth. But we didn't have to do much other than keep the quarters coming!

It was a busy, but wonderful weekend of family togetherness and Thankirtheddmas fun!
(Jess and I feeling fancy in our pearls, our early-Christmas presents from Mom!)

Now that's how you do a trip to the 'Noog! Wow. We were busy.

I'm so grateful you have this blog to keep track of all our memories! We squeezed every ounce of fun possible into that weekend and I wouldn't want to forget a moment! Love those kiddos, can't wait until the next trip.

And I'll never forget KB's face lighting up when that little carousel turned on, and how she wouldn't move her head so we had to wait for it to spin back around again to see her grinning ear-to-ear. Priceless!
