The birthday surprise

One last picture of our three-year-old before bed on January 22, 2012.

After heading to Snoozeville, he was transported to our room so we could do a little extreme-four-year-old makeover in his room!

Superhero City's finest

As I lie in bed awake during the night, listening to/watching a raging thunderstorm, I had second thoughts about the brilliance of our preschooler awakening to dark shadow-y figures hovering on his wall. Next thing I knew though, it was morning (albeit early) and a bright-eyed Ben was inches from my face exclaiming "I was so surprised to see Daptin Amerita and Piderman and Batman in my room!" He led us in and showed us everything he'd discovered. It was a great way to start the day, and it made me smile every time he ran back in to check if they were still there.

Superhero Soiree

We had a great time celebrating Ben's birthday at Partyville with his classmates and buds.

Ben was...ecstatic...from our arrival until departure. Time of his life!

After the last bite of cake had been eaten, the last bouncehouse bounced and the last caped-crusader loaded in their car, we packaged up Ben's loot and headed home for more birthday fun.

A great, and easy, party for our Superguy!
