Happy birthday to Ben!

A "B" chocolate-chip pancake seemed like a good way to start the day! If it looks like he's already on a sugar high, it's because of his birthday-morning surprise...but I have video, so that will be another post.
After a morning playing with new toys, we met Daddy for lunch at Chick-fil-A! Some chicken, fruit, fries and ice cream, followed by playtime gave me this peaceful ride home.
Got this idea from Pinterest, so here's hoping to make it an annual game of 20 Questions! I noticed a lot of his answers where whatever was most recent in his mind...maybe next year I'll do my interrogation before he's even out of bed. (And maybe next year, that would be at a reasonable hour!)

What do you like to take with you to bed? my outer-space flashlight and bedtime animals

Ben, we love your sweet heart, your belly laughs, your curious questions, your contagious smile, your honest words, your funky moves, your squishy cheeks, your tight hugs and your chatterbox talk...just to name a few. Four years have moved much too fast, but we're so incredibly grateful for each day and memory we've had with you in our lives. Here's to what's in store for year number 4!

i was surprised to see how long and wordy his answers were....but then realized last i saw him he was still speaking single word sentences :) can't believe he is 4! happy four years!
