How to get ready for work with an (almost) one-year old

Option 1: Baby on hip/lap. Can prove difficult when attempting to put on pants or eyeliner. Usually ends with one person in tears and the other wishing for more coffee/sleep/hands/patience.

Note that there is obviously a 2nd adult at home in order to take this picture...he does what he can, but a rigid schedule pushes him out the door early. (And yes, my vanity table really is that messy most of the time.)

Option 2, Preferred Method: Give baby snack cup. Although not without its faults as there tends to be a Cheerio trail to follow before walking out the door. However if you've got a Zoe, or similar garbage disposal, that will solve the issue.

Overall, Option 2 allows optimal time for Mom to fix hair and makeup, get dressed, and actually eat breakfast! Is recommended for all moms having places to go and people to see!

Ben competing in his solo Cheerio-eating contest.
Personal best: 20 in mouth at once.

Option 3: Wake before baby does and get ready then...but that's just absurd.

That vanity is looking really dirty to me...

Just joking! I think he's grown since Sunday judging from the snack cup picture. Can't wait to hug the birthday boy!
